Baptism

SUMMER BAPTISMS

Want to get baptized?

We hold summer baptisms in our amphitheater following 2nd service on the 2nd Sunday/mo June through September.  If you'd like to get baptized - just join us down front after the service and we'd love to talk with you.  Wear appropriate clothes and bring a towel.

“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:3-4)

Water baptism, in the Bible, is an outward public proclamation of a real inward faith. It identifies a person as a follower of Jesus, a believer in the message of the gospel and one who is unified with other believers in Christ. It is a public statement of the inner change that took place when he or she was “born again” through belief in Jesus.

When a person is baptized they are giving testimony to the fact that there is change that takes place which the Bible pictures as a death and resurrection. The person we used to be “dies” and a new person comes to life. That “spiritual” death and resurrection is tied to the real death and resurrection of Jesus. In Romans 6 the word teaches that in the same way that Jesus was buried and then rose in “newness of life” our life is made new (see Romans 6:1-8 and Colossians 2:12).

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...“ (Matthew 28:19)

Flesh, but gives us a good conscience toward God (1 Peter 3.21).

If you would like to be baptized, appointments are not necessary to get baptized, however if you would like to talk with someone on staff or if you have any questions regarding baptism, please complete the email form below.
